Something like giving back 5&ndash;10% of your profit to the team can work really well. &#128071;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is our model: <strong>fixed salary plus a performance bonus<\/strong>, 10% of whatever profit (or revenue) each person brings in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The model works for many reasons, but the main one is simple: <strong>if I win, they win too.<\/strong> They see the actual substance (money) flowing into their pockets, not just mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&rsquo;s fair play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If I lose money because of poor performance, it hurts them as well. Recently, one of our team members nearly doubled his income thanks to this bonus scheme. &#128293;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To track the revenue each member generates, I use <strong>staff codes<\/strong> in our article URLs and <strong>UTM parameters<\/strong> for traffic sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Example: Pinterest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Pinterest, our team members handle two parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Writing content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating + pinning pins<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each part earns them 5% of the revenue they generate, so 5% for content + 5% for pins = <strong>10% total bonus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. The writer gets 5% for content creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Pin Traffic Tracking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For pins, I use UTM parameters.
